What is AI21 Studio
AI21 Studio gives developers API and SDK access to the Jamba model family for long-context chat and instruction workloads, with a usage-based self-service plan and custom enterprise deployment options.
Pricing
As of July 30, 2026, the Free Trial includes US$10 in credits for seven days, requires no credit card and provides access to the Studio environment.
Pay As You Go has no seat charge and provides unlimited seats, foundation-model APIs and SDKs with usage billing. Jamba Mini costs US$0.20 per million input tokens and US$0.40 per million output tokens. Jamba Large costs US$2 per million input tokens and US$8 per million output tokens.
The Custom Plan uses negotiated pricing and includes Pay As You Go capabilities plus volume discounts, premium API rate limits, private-cloud hosting, priority support, a dedicated account manager and expert AI consulting.
Buying notes
AI21 states that its average English token corresponds to approximately one word or six characters. Actual spend depends on input and output volume, model selection and any negotiated enterprise deployment or support requirements.
