What is AION Labs

AION Labs is a venture studio focused on creating and growing AI and technology companies for pharmaceutical research and development. It is not a self-service AI application, model API, or software subscription platform.

The studio was formed by pharmaceutical, technology, and investment partners including AstraZeneca, Merck, Pfizer, Teva, AWS, the Israel Biotech Fund, and Amiti Ventures. Its purpose is to connect pharma-defined R&D problems with founders, scientific teams, data, validation opportunities, and early-stage capital.

Pricing and investment structure

As of July 26, 2026, AION Labs does not publish subscription plans, software licence prices, model rates, or a standard service fee. The official site describes a venture-building and investment model rather than a product-pricing model.

AION Labs says it provides pre-seed capital and can lead or join pre-seed and seed rounds. Investment, equity, and partnership terms are handled directly and depend on the company, technology, participating partners, and development programme. Its current venture-seeding page says partner investment follows technology-biopharma industry standards but does not provide a fixed cheque size or equity percentage.

Historical challenge materials sometimes disclose funding packages for a particular founder call. Those figures are programme-specific and are not presented here as a current universal price, investment offer, or entitlement.

Venture-building model

AION Labs works through two broad routes. Venture Creation starts with challenges defined by pharma partners, selects scientific founders, and builds a new company around a validated problem. Venture Seeding works with early-stage companies whose products are still young and where AION Labs and its partners can add industry access, validation, data, investment, and scaling support.

The studio says it has launched nine companies, supported pharmaceutical pilots and collaborations, and helped ventures reach follow-on funding, higher valuations, and strategic transactions. Each resulting company has its own product and commercial model; AION Labs itself should not be evaluated as a catalogue of purchasable AI models.
