What is Descript Overdub
Overdub is Descript’s AI voice-cloning and speech-regeneration capability. It now forms part of Descript’s wider text-based audio and video editor rather than being sold as an independent subscription.

As of July 28, 2026, Free costs US$0. Hobbyist costs US$24 month to month or US$16 per person per month annually, with ten media hours, 400 AI credits, 1080p watermark-free export, Underlord tools, and AI Speech with custom voice clones.
Creator costs US$35 monthly or US$24 per person per month annually. It includes 30 media hours, 800 AI credits, 4K export, full Underlord access, more than 20 AI tools, generative video, and the royalty-free stock library.
Business costs US$65 monthly or US$50 per person per month annually. It includes 40 media hours, 1,500 AI credits, Brand Studio, translation and dubbing in more than 30 languages, custom avatars, and priority support. Enterprise uses custom pricing for tailored usage, governance, SSO, SCIM, audit logs, retention, onboarding, and contractual terms.
Overdub access
Descript’s current product update says Overdub voice cloning is available across its plans, with limited trial use on lower tiers. Current voice regeneration and cloning consumption is governed by the plan’s media-hour and AI-credit allowances rather than a separate Overdub fee.
