Hex’s current AI capabilities are delivered through its Notebook, Threads and Semantic Model agents. They help users write and explain code, explore data conversationally, build analyses and dashboards, and work against governed semantic models.
Pricing
As of July 30, 2026, Community is free and includes a Notebook Agent trial, connections to data sources, up to five notebooks, all cell types and Small compute.
Professional costs US$36 per Editor per month and includes the Notebook Agent with standard credits, unlimited notebooks, five published apps, 30-day version history and Medium compute. Team costs US$75 per Editor per month and adds Threads and Semantic Model agents with extended credits, unlimited published apps and history, visual exploration, schedules, alerts, shared components and advanced-compute add-ons. Team has a 14-day trial.
Enterprise is custom priced and includes premium credits, Explorer seats as an add-on, audit logs, OAuth database connections, the Observability API, OIDC SSO, dedicated support and optional single-tenant, HIPAA, embedded-analytics and custom-container capabilities.
Compute add-ons
Medium compute is included on paid plans. Published pay-as-you-go rates range from US$0.32 per hour for Large compute through US$2.58 for 4XL, US$2.93 for an L4 GPU and US$4.06 for an A10G GPU, billed by the minute.
