Pinecone is a managed vector database and retrieval platform with dense, sparse and full-text search, inference and assistant capabilities.
Plans
As of July 31, 2026, Starter is free and includes database, inference and assistant usage, core search modes, metrics and community support within published limits. Builder costs a flat US$20 per month and raises limits while adding cloud and region choice, multiple projects and users, and Prometheus or Datadog monitoring.
Standard carries a US$50 monthly minimum that is applied to usage. It includes pay-as-you-go database, inference and assistant services, disaster-recovery networking, import, backup, role-based access and SSO; new trials list US$300 in credits for three weeks. Enterprise carries a US$500 monthly minimum plus usage and adds a 99.95% uptime SLA, bring-your-own-cloud, private endpoints, customer-managed encryption keys, audit logs, service accounts, SAML, SCIM and Pro support.
Usage notes
Usage beyond included allowances is metered across reads, writes, storage, inference and assistant operations. Region and deployment choices affect rates, while HIPAA and other enterprise controls may require paid add-ons or negotiated terms.
