PlayHT, later branded PlayAI, offered text-to-speech, streaming voice generation, multilingual models, and instant voice cloning. As of July 28, 2026, the official PlayHT application displays an explicit notice that the service has been shut down.
Pricing
There is no current self-serve PlayHT subscription or published checkout price to compare. Older Free, Creator, Unlimited, API, or Enterprise amounts should not be treated as active offers.
Documentation status
The legacy developer documentation remains publicly reachable and describes PlayDialog, Play 3.0 Mini, streaming APIs, SDKs, and instant voice cloning. Its dashboard links lead back to the shut-down application, so the documentation does not establish that new accounts, keys, or paid service are available.
What buyers should know
Prospective customers should select an active voice platform rather than relying on historical PlayHT pricing or rate limits. Existing users should retain their own account and billing records for any contractual or data-export questions.
